Designed for children and teens ages 10-20. In the first few weeks, students have fun learning how to “hand-build” projects such as slab cups, clay masks, name plaques, heart shaped boxes, etc.
Once older students (10 + up) learn basic hand building methods, then they’re able to learn how to “throw” on the wheel. Students learn how to “throw” bowls, cups, plates, chip + dip plates, etc.
After students ceramic work is bisque fired, they are taught various glazing techniques using both low fire, and high fire glazes.
Clay Studio + Gallery Inc. provides a positive, creative, and non-competitive work environment.
One four-week session fee includes everything: i.e., clay, glazes, firing, use of all studio tools + equipment, and our professional instruction.
The Saturday morning Kids/Teen schedule: These classes begin the first Saturday of each month, and run for 4 consecutive weeks. The Saturday morning class time slot is from 10:30-12:30.
Next Saturday Classes Begin: May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7, + December 5
